A Fabulous And One Of A Kind Antique Italian Skull With A Crown, 1800's

This is a truly fabulous and one of a kind antique Italian momento mori that dates from the early 1800's or older. Discovered recently this rare treasure consists of a magnificent skull that is masterfully carved from white marble. The skull is mounted on a black marble base and it comes with a wonderful crown constructed from an ornate metal frame with a multitude of crystals in clear and blue colours. All the crystals are still present and the marble skull is in lovely antique condition - considering its age - with minor signs of ageing. Together with the crown it measures about 19 x 9 x 14 cm or approximately 7.4 x 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Without the crown the measurements are 10.5 x 9 x 14 cm or 4.1 x 3.5 x 5.5 inches.
