A Gorgeous And Rare Antique Italian Gilded Eagle Wood Carving, 1700’s

This gorgeous antique Italian wood carving was discovered in Florence. Dating from the late 18th century it is a wonderful hand carved and gilded eagle that was once most certainly a crowning part of a grand interior embellishment. At a later stage the carving was placed on a wood stand. This highly decorative treasure measures about 29 x 24 x 8.5 cm or approximately 11.4 x 9.4 x 3.3 inches and it is in lovely antique condition with some signs of ageing mainly seen in a beautiful timeworn patina with distressed appeal.
