A Handsome Antique Italian Santo's Bust, St Peter, Hand Carved Wood, 1800's

This is a handsome and extremely rare bust that once belonged to a santo of Saint Peter which is no longer in existence. Originating from 19th century Naples, this captivating treasure is masterfully hand carved from wood and painted. The eyes are made of glass. Discovered recently, it is in lovely antique condition with signs of ageing mainly seen in some flaking of the paint - on the neck area - which hardly takes away any of its true beauty and splendour today. The bust has been positioned on a wood stand so that it could be displayed easily on a flat surface. It is exactly as I discovered it. For the full condition please refer to the images!
