A Remarkable Collection Of Antique German Wooly Sheep, Christmas Decor, 1800's
This is a truly remarkable collection of antique German wooly sheep that dates from the 19th century. This fabulous flock consists of five sheep and one ram. These are highly decorative and collectable antique items that were once hand made as part of a Christmas nativity scene. It is quite rare today to find them in such a precious set. Referred to in the US as Putz Sheep these adorable treasures are a delight to decorate with - not only for Christmas but all year around. They are exactly as I discovered them recently - in Avignon, France - found within a stunning antique box. In lovely antique condition with some signs of ageing that in my opinion only brings forth its true precious nature and beauty today. For the full condition please refer to the images!
