An Outstanding and Extremely Rare Antique Italian Sacred Heart, Silver, 1700's

This is an outstanding antique Italian Sacred Heart that dates from the early 18th century or earlier. It originates from Florence where it was discovered recently. This is a remarkable example of intricate and ancient silver work depicting a heart surrounded by glorious angels and flower garlands. Above the heart is a chalice with a crown and a halo. This breathtakingly beautiful and a truly magnificent treasure has been created masterfully from silver that is placed on a red velvet background and mounted on a wood panel that measures about 47.5 x 33 x 2 cm or approximately 18.7 x 13 x 0.7 inches. Considering its impressive age of 300 years [or more] it is in lovely antique condition with some signs of ageing that in my opinion only brings forth its true beauty and splendour today.
