This is a lovely antique British artwork of exceptional beauty created with masterful artistry and talent. Still in its original frame, this precious oil on canvas painting is a depiction of young St John the Baptist with his Lamb [representing God]. Considering its age this fine painting is in great antique condition with minor signs of ageing mainly seen on the frame which in my opinion only bring forth its true beauty and splendour today. Including the frame it measures about 41 x 35.5 x 6.5 cm or approximately 16.1 x 13.9 x 2.5 inches. The canvas on its own measures 31 x 26 cm or approximately 12.2 x 10.2 inches.
