A Fabulous And Rare French Venus, Hand Carved Wood Sculpture, 1800's

This is an absolutely fabulous and rare antique French sculpture representing Venus the Roman goddess of love, beauty and prosperity. It is hand carved from wood with exceptional artistic quality and elegance. The sculpture measures about 28.5 x 20 x 15 cm or approximately 11.2 x 7.8 x 5.9 inches. It could stand freely on a flat surface or be displayed on the wall if desired [this is possible because the back of it is flat]. It is in lovely antique condition with signs of ageing mainly seen in a gorgeous timeworn patina which in my opinion only brings forth its true beauty and splendour today. It is exactly as I discovered it recently in Beziers in the South of France. For the full condition please refer to the images!
