A Fabulous Antique French Gilded Wood Carving With A Stunning Patina, 1800's

This is a fabulous antique French wood carving with the most stunning distressed and timeworn patina that dates from the early 1800's or older. Once it was most certainly a large fragment of a grand interior display that was fully gilded. Hand carved from wood this highly decorative treasure measures about 46.5 x 20 x 5 cm or approximately 18.3 x 7.8 x 1.9 inches and it is exactly as I discovered it, with signs of ageing that in this case and in my opinion only bring forth its true beauty and splendour today.
