A Fabulous Pair Of Highly Decorative Antique French Clock Faces, 1800's

This is a pair of higly decorative antique French clock faces that date from the 19th century. They are created from press brass that surrounds an enameled metal center with stunning Roman numbers. One features exquisite peacocks on the sides of a vase with fruits and flowers. Below is a vine with grapes. The other one has a flower vase as well at its centre with a marvellous sun god above. On the sides of the vase are cornucopias with fruits. All these symbols denote to abundance. Both are wonderful in their charm created by the timeworn appeal which in my opinion only brings forth their true beauty and splendour today. Such items look fantastic when displayed among old books and other decorative treasures. They are exactly as I discovered them with signs of ageing that gives them plenty of unique character.
