A Glorious And Extremely Rare Antique Italian Crown, Gilded Wood, 1700's

This is an absolutely glorious and extremely rare antique Italian crown that was discovered recently in Tuscany. The crown is hand carved from wood and gilded, dating from the 18th century. Through its impressive age of about 300 year it has gained a magnificent patina that in my opinion only brings forth its true beauty and splendour today. Such coronas were used in the past as a baldachin or a bed canopy as well as crowning altar pieces for devotional statues such as those of the Virgin Mary, denoting to Heaven. This is a remarkable and outstanding ancient treasure that would look just exquisite in any interior, classical or contemporary. It is exactly as I discovered it.
