A Glorious And Rare Antique Spanish Angel, Framed Hand Carved Wood, 1800's

This is a truly glorious and rare antique Spanish angel that dates from the 18 - 19th century. Discovered recently in Barcelona, this exquisite angel is hand carved from wood that is painted and partially gilded. With his open wings the angel is in front of clouds and rays of light representing heavens. He is framed in a luscious gilded frame with red velvet background. The frame measures about 45.5 x 28.5 x 10 cm or approximately 16.7 x 11.2 x 3.9 inches while the angel is 24 x 13.5 x 10 cm or about 9.4 x 5.3 x 3.9 inches. The angel was once a part of a much larger tableau from the 1700's but was most certainly framed during the 1800's. In lovely antique condition with minor signs of ageing which is understandable considering its age. Index fingers are partially missing. It is exactly as I discovered it.
