A Gorgeous And Highly Decorative Antique French Gilded Wood Carving, 1700's

This is an absolutely gorgeous and rare antique French gilded wood carving that dates from the late 18th century. Discovered in the South of France this stunning hand carved and gilded wood fragment - that was once most probably a part of a grand interior display features two exceptional floral rosettes. The carving could be displayed as a free standing embellishment or hang on a wall if desired. It measures about 43 x 23 x 4 cm or approximately 17 x 9.4 x 1.5 inches and it is in lovely antique condition with distressed timeworn patina of exceptional appeal. In my opinion the visible signs of ageing only bring forward its true beauty and splendour today. It is exactly as I discovered it. For the full condition please refer to the images!
