A Grand French Baroque Candleholder, Hand Carved And Gilded Wood, 1700's

This exquisite candleholder was discovered recently in the South of France. It is entirely hand carved from wood and gilded on the front. This is a handsome and one of a kind treasure with intricate design of magnificent Baroque curls and patterns that are just exceptional. Considering its impressive age it is in lovely condition and exactly as I discovered it, with some signs of ageing that in my opinion only brings forward its true beauty and splendour today. These could be seen in minor loss of gilding and a few cracks in the wood which is the case with most of the items from this period. Its handsome size measures about 112 x 28 x 28 cm or approximately 44 x 11 x 11 inches. This candleholder is truly "a show stopper" that would look just glorious in any stilish and unique interior!
