A Pair Of Gorgeous Antique Italian Candleholders, Hand Carved Wood, 1800's

This gorgeous pair of Italian chateau candleholders was discovered in the South of France. However they originate from Tuscany and were most probably created during the early 19th century. They are entirely hand carved from wood and gilded in silver with metal crowns on top that could hold larger candles if desired. Shaped as stunning urns, each one measures about 47 x 20 x 20 cm or approximately 18.5 x 7.8 x 7.8 inches. The candleholders are in lovely antique condition with some signs of ageing, mainly seen in a fascinating timeworn patina that in my opinion only brings forth their true beauty and splendour today.
