A Pair Of Fabulous Baroque Candlesticks, Hand Carved Wood, 1700's
This fabulous pair of baroque candleholders that was discovered recently in Germany dates from the middle 1700's. They are entirely hand carved from wood with masterful craftsmanship and elegant artistry. The wood is gilded with real silver that through the passage of time has darkened in the most wonderful way. This gives them such a stunning aura bursting with refined splendour and opulence. These are three footed candleholders, each one containing a metal crown with a spike that could hold a large candle if desired. Each candleholder measures about 66 x 19 x 19 cm or approximately 26 x 7.4 x 7.4 inches and they are in lovely antique condition considering their impressive age with minor signs of ageing that in my opinion only brings forth their true beauty and splendour today. They are exactly as I discovered them. For the full condition please refer to the images!
This is a remarkable and outstanding antique treasure for a stylish and unique interior - classical or contemporary!
