A Pair Of Exceptional Antique Italian Altar Vases With Flowers, 1800’s

This is a pair of exceptional and extremely rare antique Italian altar vases from Florence that originate from the early 1800’s. The vases are in forms of urns, hand carved from wood and gilded while the gorgeous flowers are masterfully crafted from silver and gold metal on wire. They measure about 50 x 30 x 28 cm or approximately 19.6 x 11.8 x 11 inches each and are in lovely antique condition with some signs of ageing mainly seen in minor flaking of gilding on the urns which in my opinion only brings forward their true beauty and splendour today. It is this distressed appeal that is so captivating. These are highly decorative antique treasures that are exactly as I discovered them on my recent trip to Italy in January of 2022.
