A Pair of Magnificent And Extremely Rare Antique Italian Angels, 1700's

This is a pair of magnificent antique Italian sleeping angels that was just discovered in Tuscany. They originate from the late 18th century and are entirely hand carved from wood and gilded. Created with a great crafsmenship and artistic quality this exquisite pair was once most certainly the crowning part of an altar. Each angel measures about 38 x 29.5 x 6.5 cm or approximately 15 x 11.6 x 2.5 inches and they are in lovely antique condition with minor signs of ageing mainly seen in a wonderful patina created by the passage of time.
