A Precious And Rare Ancient Spanish Painting Of St John With The Lamb, 1600's

This is an absolutely precious and extremely rare antique Spanish painting of Saint John With The Lamb that dates from the 1600's, around 400 years old. Discovered recently in Zaragoza this gorgeous treasure is painted on a metal plate - most probably copper - and still found in its original hand carved and painted wood frame. Its captivating beauty today is enhanced in my opinion with an exquisite patina created by the passage of centuries. It is truly extraordinary to find such ancient items today which makes this lovely painting so remarkable. It measures about 30 x 20 cm or approximately 12 x 8 inches.
