A Remarkable Italian Baroque Crucifix, Antique Gilded Wood Carving, 1700's

This is a remarkable and one of a kind Italian Baroque Crucifix that dates from the early 18th century or older. Discovered recently in Tuscany this exceptional antique sacred treasure is entirely hand carved from wood with great mastery and crafsmenship. Complex in its baroque style, yet poignant in its appearance it measures about 56 x 33 x 5 cm or approximately 22 x 13 x 2 inches. It is in lovely antique condition considering its age, with signs of ageing mainly seen in a glorious timeworn patina created by the three centuries of its existence.
