A Stunning Antique Italian Oil Painting, A Fruit Basket Still Life, Late 1700’s

This stunning Italian oil painting was discovered in January of 2022 in Florence Italy. It is a fine antique still life depicting a gorgeous fruit basket that was catered with a masterful talent and artistry. The colour tones are just exquisite and there is a certain Caravaggesque feel to it in my opinion, truly remarkable. The painting dates from the late 18th century or early 1800’s and it is still on its original wood stretcher measuring about 50 x 40 cm or approximately 19.6 x 15.7 inches and it is in lovely antique condition - considering its age - with minor signs of ageing that in my opinion only brings forward its true beauty and splendour today.
