A Stunning Italian Bronze Relief Plaque, 1920's

This is a stunning Italian bronze relief that dates from the 1920's. Created in the South Tyrol as a plaque for Italian schools and nurseries this exceptional artwork depicts a woman wearing classical robes and accompanied by two children. The three are standing surrounded by a romantic landscape with a marvellous tree [the tree of knowledge] and the beautiful mountains of the Alps. The relief is in lovely antique condition and exactly as I discovered it, measuring about 21 x 31 cm or approximately 8.2 x 12 .2 inches.
