A Stunning Italian Chateau Candleholder, Hand Carved And Painted Wood, 1800's

This stunning and rare Italian chateau candleholder was discovered recently in the South of France. It is entirely hand carved from wood and painted in the most exquisite shades of blue. Through the passage of time a fascinating timeworn patina has been created that gives it a captivating appeal of magnificent beauty and presence. The candleholder has an iron spike on its top that can hold a large candle if desired. It measures about 46 x 20 x 20 cm or approximately 18.1 x 7.8 x 7.8 inches and it is in lovely antique condition with signs of ageing which in my opinion only brings forward its true splendour today.
