Painted masterfully on a copper plate this fine work of art depicts the saint in an enchanted landscape holding an open book in the vicinity of a chalice and a skull - a symbolic object often portrayed with Mary Magdalene. The painting is still in remarkable condition considering its age with minute signs of ageing mainly seen in minor flaking of a paint.
