An Exquisite And Extremely Rare Antique French Sacred Heart, 1800's

This is a truly exquisite and extremely rare antique French Sacred Heart that dates from the mid 19th century. Discovered recently in Avignon in the South of France this exceptional heart was once an altar adornment. The Sacred Heart is made of a brass frame decorated with stunning crystals in red and clear. It is quite remarkable that all the crystals are still intact. Behind the heart is a ring that could be used as a candleholder, so that when a candle is lit, its light would shine through the crystals. The Heart is mounted on an adjustable brass base measuring 47.5 cm or approximately 18.7 inches in height when extended to its maximum. This is a rare find of exceptional beauty and meaning and in lovely antique condition - exactly as I discovered it. For the full condition please refer to the images!
