An Exquisite Italian Baroque Crown On A Stand With Distressed Patina, 1700's

This is an exquisite and one of a kind Italian Baroque crown on a stand that dates from the 18th century. Discovered recently in Tuscany this magnificent display is unique in its captivating beauty as well as the remarkable presence enhanced by the distressed patina created by the passage of time. The crown is made of metal and gilded in a combination of gold and silver. This gilding is also reflected in the stand that is hand carved from wood. The crown most certainly belonged in the past to a devotional statue. This is an unique and highly decorative antique treasure that is exactly as I discovered it with signs of ageing that in my opinion only enhance its true allure and splendour today.
