Antique Italian Architectural Model Of A Dome, Late 1800's

A gorgeous antique Italian architectural model of a dome, late 1800 - early 1900.
 
I had a great pleasure to acquire recently a few precious items from an artist's studio in Italy among which was this extraordinary architectural model of a dome tower with a spiral staircase. It is completely constructed from wood and covered with a layer of artisan gesso. Perhaps it was used as a studying artist's model because of its exceptional and complex structure with arches and columns placed in an intricate yet elegant edifice. It measures about 92 x 35 x 35 cm or approximately 36.2 x 13.7 x 13.7 inches and it is in lovely condition with a fabulous timeworn patina created by the ageing of gesso. This is a highly decorative treasure that would look just exquisite in any stylish and unique interior, classical or contemporary. It is exactly as I discovered it.
